New Appointments Will Support the Successful Integration of Recently Acquired BT Expedite and Pave the Way for Innovation, Growth for European and Americas-Based Retailers
ATLANTA, October 14, 2016 – Aptos, Inc., a recognized market leader in retail technology solutions, today announced new executive appointments to strengthen the company’s European leadership and expansion strategy following Aptos’ acquisition of BT Expedite, which was finalized on September 30, 2016.
Newly appointed to the role of EMEA managing director is Steve Towe. Towe has a proven track record for driving high revenue and profit growth in fast-paced environments. He has spent the last 16 years delivering and supporting the growth of US-owned cloud based software technology businesses across Europe, including Trafficmaster and Cybit, and most recently served as chief commercial officer and managing director with Masternaut. Prior to this, Towe held various leadership positions with retailer WH Smith Limited. Towe has spent much of the last ten years living and working in several European territories developing and integrating Software-as-a-Service businesses for sustainable growth.

Aptos also announced the appointment of Richard Willis to vice president, Solutions Management EMEA. Willis is a seasoned retail technology professional who has worked with retailers for more than 20 years in Europe and globally. He has held senior roles responsible for the strategic direction of product portfolios with both Torex and MICROS. As senior vice president for Retail EMEA for MICROS, he was actively involved in integrating the MICROS global retail business unit into Oracle Retail following that acquisition. Willis also previously worked at BT Expedite as head of Pre-Sales and as a senior solution consultant.
Also recently appointed to the role of people leader EMEA is Debbie Whitmore. Whitmore was most recently with SNC Lavalin, where she built a global people team and was responsible for the United Kingdom, Russia and Norway businesses. Whitmore has also served in progressive leadership roles at Alpha Airports Group, Metro Imaging, and Chicago Bridge & Iron — all while simultaneously pursuing a post-graduate diploma in Law and Labor Relations. In her new role at Aptos, Whitmore will support Aptos colleagues in Europe and will be responsible for talent acquisition to meet the evolving needs of Aptos customers.
