Aptos Recognized as #2 Large Vendor Leader in 2016 RIS Software LeaderBoard Report

Retail Technology Vendor Ranks Prominently Across 18 Different Categories in RIS News’ Annual Survey

ATLANTA, December 12, 2016 – Aptos, Inc., a recognized market leader in retail technology solutions, today announced it has been identified as a top performing retail technology vendor in the 2016 RIS Software LeaderBoard report.

Aptos figured prominently in 18 categories in this year’s report including being ranked the #2 large vendor leader. In addition, Aptos was named a top 10 vendor in 17 additional categories with ranking highlights that include: Top Vendors for Tier One Retailers (#3), Leaders in Recommendation by Tier One Retailers (#3), Apparel Vendor Leaders (#4) and Customer Satisfaction for Large Vendors (#4).

The annual survey published by RIS News ranks the top technology software vendors in areas such as customer satisfaction, revenue, retail concentration, technology innovation, and product reliability. This year’s study was based on evaluations from 295 retailers, rating 45 qualifying vendors.

Aptos moved up in several key categories in this year’s Software LeaderBoard. These rankings include: Overall Top 20 Retail Software Leaders (#7 this year versus #9 in 2015); Large Vendor Leaders (#2 this year versus #4 in 2015); Specialty Vendor Leaders (#5 this year versus #6 in 2015); and Broad Suite Vendor Leaders (#7 this year versus #9 in 2015).

In addition to rankings, the report includes quotes from retail executives who participated in the evaluation process. One executive had this to say about the Aptos experience, “Many vendors claim that their product suites work well together. The integration worked ‘out of the box.’”
