Chinese Apparel Retailer Fast Fish Selects Aptos Technology to Support Global Growth

Fast-fashion retailer to deploy Aptos solutions for forecasting, merchandise financial planning and assortment planning

ATLANTA, December 6, 2018Aptos, Inc., a recognized market leader in retail technology solutions, today announced the addition of another major Chinese brand to its customer portfolio: Fast Fish.

A leader in fast-fashion casual wear, Fast Fish has selected Aptos solutions for forecasting, merchandise financial planning and assortment planning for all of its product ranges.

Headquartered in Hangzhou in Eastern China, Fast Fish is well-known in the country for its quality women’s, men’s and children’s collections at accessible prices.

Previously, Fast Fish relied heavily on its in-season planning process, developing significant responsiveness to actual demand. Despite its strength in in-season planning, the retailer lacked strong preseason planning processes, which could hamper its ability to localize the merchandise offering and support the complexity of its growing business.

“While we are proud of our level of in-season reactivity, we acknowledged that we couldn’t grow our brand and expand internationally if we would just ‘react’ to demand. We had to do a better job upfront with preseason planning and forecasting,” adds Mr. Rao. “Aptos will help us achieve what we internally call ‘Product Intelligence’: a better selection of the right products for different customer segments and stores, which ultimately will lead to higher sales and stronger brand recognition.”

Improved planning, earlier in the cycle, will also elevate Fast Fish’s ability to collaborate with suppliers, securing higher product margins and win-win relationships with its partners.
