Aptos Named Retail Point of Sale Leader in Specialty Soft Goods by Independent Industry Analyst Firm

MONTREAL, Sept. 2, 2015 – Aptos, Inc., (formerly Epicor Retail Solutions), today announced it has been named the leader in number of Point of Sale (POS) installations among top retailers in the specialty soft goods market, according to an evaluation summarized in the report, “POS Software for Specialty Softgoods Market Share,” issued by independent industry analyst firm IHL.

According to the report, Aptos POS solutions are installed in the greatest amount of retail accounts surveyed with 58 of the top 200 largest specialty soft goods retailers in North America.

The IHL study looks at the trends, market share, and challenges facing soft goods retailers and their POS landscape, a market that is rapidly changing, with 71 percent of soft goods retailers indicating their next POS system will feature a Distributed Order Management system to support Unified Commerce (also known as omni-channel retailing) initiatives.
The news comes on the heels of Aptos being named a leader in Forrester Research, Inc.’s latest Q3 Wave report on Point of Service in which Aptos received a 4.6/5.0, the highest rating in the product strategy and vision category of all vendors evaluated, with high marks for extended POS.
