When I think back on the past few years, the saying “The days pass slowly but the years fly by” certainly applies.
I know I’m not alone in thinking that some of those pandemic lockdown days felt never ending. And yet I find myself in disbelief about how quickly the years have flown by. This has been especially true as Aptos gets ready for its first in-person customer conference — since 2019!
When Aptos welcomes clients to Aptos Engage 2022 in Scottsdale next week, a lot will have changed since we hosted our last physical event three years ago.
Our business has new owners (Goldman Sachs), we’ve added new executives and colleagues (including CEO Pete Sinisgalli) and we’ve welcomed two companies into the Aptos family: Revionics and LS Retail.
But at the same time, for those who’ve attended Engage in the past, I think you will find that there’s a lot about the event that will feel familiar. You will experience familiar colleague, customer and partner faces; sessions focused on the market-leading products you’ve come to know and trust; and an overall feeling of community and optimism that encapsulates our marquee customer event.
For those who will be joining us in Arizona, as well as those who can’t make the trip but are curious about what Engage is all about, here’s a preview of what attendees can expect from Aptos Engage 2022: What Comes Next.
The Aptos and Revionics teams showed their enthusiasm for a return to live events by putting together an agenda that is bursting with insightful content. During the four-day event, we’ll offer over 65 activities, ranging from keynotes and breakout sessions to hosted networking and product advisory councils (PACs) as well as targeted trainings to help you get the most out of your technology investments.
The best part, of course, is that each attendee can build his or her own custom itinerary that reflects their type of business, the solutions they use, and the innovation trajectory their company is on.

When you acquire a company during a pandemic, there’s not much opportunity to bring the two customer bases together, and that was the case with Aptos and Revionics — until now.
For the first time, we are delighted to welcome Revionics customers to Engage. And, as appropriate, we’ve built an entire “conference within a conference” experience for our Revionics customers: Insight at Engage.
Insight at Engage will deliver the latest updates on innovative pricing strategies, a look ahead at Revionics’ roadmap, exclusive trainings on the Base Price and Markdown solutions, and much more.
We have been thrilled with the registration response and enthusiasm from Revionics clients leading up to this event. We’re going to pull out all the stops to make sure their first Engage experience is a great one.
In addition to the assimilation of Revionics into the Engage event and the outstanding lineup of sessions and activities we have planned, what I’m most proud of is the number of clients who have raised their hands and offered to tell their stories.
For our 2022 event, we have more retailer speakers than we’ve ever had at Engage before. This includes a very special keynote by Andy Laudato, EVP & COO of The Vitamin Shoppe, who will present, Fostering Innovation: How to Create an Environment Where Innovation Thrives.
In addition to The Vitamin Shoppe, retailers such as MRG, Boot Barn, SNIPES, L.L. Bean, Shoe Palace, REMA 1000, Academy Sports + Outdoors, New Balance, Peapod Digital Labs, TUMI and J. McLaughlin will have executives speaking at the event. The excitement for these sessions is palpable.

On the Aptos and Revionics front, we recently returned from the Retail Technology Show in London, and we are now gearing up for EuroCIS 2022 in Düsseldorf at the end of the month.
Looking ahead to June 6-8, you can find us at Shoptalk Europe. That same week, we’ll host an intimate networking event in London for our European clients.
We’ve also recently participated in several virtual events in Asia, including the Asia Retail Innovations Conference and a retail pricing roundtable.
