From a Cole Haan Pop-Up Store to a New Retail Platform, Here's What Aptos Will Showcase at NRF 2018

In a few short days, 35,000 retail executives will converge in New York City for the National Retail Federation's Retail's BIG Show, January 14–16.

The show attracts the biggest players in retail, technology and business who are shattering the status quo and driving innovation. Aptos is no exception.

Aptos' theme de jour for NRF 2018 is undoubtedly innovation, and how Aptos is preparing retailers to transform their businesses and create enterprises built for rapid change.

This year, Aptos will have double the booth space on the NRF stage, with Aptos booth #3306 and booth #2575 for TXT Retail, an Aptos Company.

During the three-day event, Aptos will highlight its advanced, end-to-end retail technology solutions that are used by more than 1,000 retail brands to create personalized, seamless shopping experiences. Aptos will unveil new technology launches, display next-gen innovations in the "Aptos Lab," and welcome retailers into its booth to demonstrate how Aptos solutions are empowering them to engage differently.

For attendees planning their NRF 2018 itineraries, here are the top five Aptos announcements and innovations that you don't want to miss:

#5: Cole Haan Pop-Up Store Open for Business in Aptos Booth

If you've been to the BIG Show before, or indeed any trade show, you know the discomfort your feet might be feeling by day two. But rarely do you have the chance to reward your feet with a new pair of shoes while walking around the EXPO Hall. This year, you will.

Cole Haan, an iconic American lifestyle accessories brand and retailer of premium men's and women's footwear, handbags, leather accessories, outerwear and eyewear, will be setting up a pop-up shop inside of Aptos' booth.

From there, Cole Haan will be fitting customers and selling shoes from its new 2.ZEROGRAND collection. It will be showcasing how Aptos solutions – including Aptos Mobile Store for point of sale and Aptos Enterprise Order Management – allow retailers to engage customers … no matter when, where or how they shop.

As an inventory-free pop-up store, Cole Haan will offer the option of expedited shipping, with shoes being delivered to customers' hotel rooms before they leave New York City.

#4: Retail Transformation Ready

Retail is poised for reinvention. Retailers that realign their organizations to be customer-centric will thrive, but it is no small task.

Meet with experts from Aptos, including Retail Transformation Officer Vicki Cantrell, to discuss how retail transformation can be a reality at your business, and how decisions regarding culture, customers and systems can enable your success.

#3: Wheel of Change Showcase: Presented by Aptos Labs

Aptos Labs, Aptos' dedicated innovation development team, is at the forefront of the latest technologies that are poised to impact retail.

Learn what Aptos Labs developers are working on by visiting the Aptos Wheel of Change Showcase, where conversational commerce, facial recognition and augmented reality will be on display.

To represent the pace of change and disruption in today's retail marketplace, booth visitors will spin a virtual wheel and wherever it lands, Aptos will demonstrate how its solution innovations will help retailers adapt and evolve to each market condition.

#2: TXT Retail, an Aptos Company, Announces Availability of TXT Retail 9

TXT Retail, an Aptos Company, will announce TXT Retail 9, the latest release of its market-leading Merchandise Lifecycle Management solution on January 16. TXT Retail 9 supports all activities involved with planning, designing, distributing and managing assortments.

Additionally, retailers can stop by the Aptos and TXT Retail booths to learn how Aptos' best-in-class customer engagement and inventory management solutions combined with TXT Retail's best-of-breed merchandise lifecycle management suite allow retailers to engage differently, from concept to customer.

#1: Aptos Debuts Highly Anticipated Next-Generation Singular Commerce Platform

The wait for Aptos' new cloud-native, microservices-based singular commerce platform will soon be over, with the market launch planned for January 15.

The platform allows retailers to take maximum advantage of cloud computing, open APIs and a microservices architecture to create enterprises built for rapid change.

In addition to the "can't miss" Aptos/NRF experiences mentioned above, as in past years Aptos will offer networking and philanthropic opportunities throughout the BIG Show, including:

  • Silent Auction for RetailROI – The Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI) comes to the aid of orphans in need around the world. Aptos' generous customers, including Tommy Bahama, Cole Haan, Finish Line, The Art of Shaving, and Windsor, have donated merchandise for a silent auction benefiting RetailROI – the merchandise will be on display in "store windows" throughout the Aptos booth. Silent auction funds are donated to RetailROI, with Aptos matching donations up to $10,000.
  • EXPO Tour – This year the Aptos booth was selected by NRF as an official destination for the "In Store & Customer Experience Tech" EXPO Tour. For more information on the tours, please visit: https://nrfbigshow.nrf.com/tours
  • Aptos Customer Appreciation Party – Aptos will welcome its customers to the headquarters of Tapestry, Inc., the New York-based house of modern luxury lifestyle brands Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman for an evening reception.
